Being Present – Amanda Cook

“I have a very hard time staying present, but that is one of the most powerful things I think a person can do.” –Amanda Cook

There is often a daily struggle to live in the present– especially when faced with distractions and ever growing to-do lists. While it’s important to be present in every moment, Amanda is talking about the larger picture– being present in your season.

What season are you in? Sometimes words like transition, growth, healing, breakthrough, mourning, favor, or expansion can characterize our season. Whatever season you may be in, there will be times when thoughts of things “moving too fast,” “too slow,” or feeling like we should being giving our attention to other things overwhelm us. In these moments, God gives us grace to receive the growth and blessings He has for us.

Being present in our season aligns our perspective with His, and brings our full attention to His voice in our lives.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. —Isaiah 26:3

Being in this season of my life has been difficult. Feeling too old, can’t go back to young. Don’t want to be sat on side line being inn way of young. What does God want me to be in this season?

Hi Jacki, thank you for sharing your heart. We know that God is a good Father and His love is perfect. Even now in this season for you, He wants to draw ever closer to you. We pray for new revelation for you and that His peace and love would fill your spirit.

God bless you all. I’m writing from Hungary and there is an awakening going on here. Were inspired of your music and Bethel’s, but with all fear of the Lord, and we are really appreciate you guys and your work for God, but please, could you explain how do you mean the listening to song, which were lead by the devil, Coldplay, Taylor Swift ect.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiNbedAInR8 I mean I really think that these song were not written under the annointing of the Holy Spirit and are not the product of the Holy Spirit, so let’s be serious: do you really listen to this kind of stuff? And if yes, why? Because there is only one God, the God, Who you are singing about, and someone can’t serve the Lord with half heart (that doesn’t mean that you are serving with half a heart), but if somebody listens to this kind of wordly music (and I think, and I speak from experiance, that the Holy Spirit can give you so much inspiration to write songs etc.), that she/he shouls stop whit that, because it’s not a good inspiration. I think God is speaking to you from my words and please, don’t be angry on me, I was just wondering that the annointed servent of God is having this kind of false inspiration source. Thank you and God bless you.
